New Delhi: Rinku Singh smashed an unbeaten 51-ball 83 to help Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) post 155/7 (20 overs) in theirIPL 2026 clash against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium on Sunday, April 26.

KKR got off to a disappointing start as LSG’s pace trio was on fire in the powerplay. Mohsin Khan struck in the second over to dismiss Tim Seifert for a duck, and then followed it up with the wicket of KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane in his next over.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi was given out in the fifth over for obstructing the field, and Rovman Powell also failed to contribute and was removed by Mohsin for 1 in the seventh over. At one point, it looked like the three-time champions would end up with a below-par total.

But Cameron Green forged a 42-run partnership for the fifth wicket with Rinku Singh to help KKR recover from early setbacks. They suffered another mini-collapse when Green was removed by Mohsin in the 11th over. He completed his five-wicket haul by dismissing Anukul Roy for a duck on the very next delivery, but Rinku batted well at the other end.

He shifted gears in the death overs and smacked four consecutive maximums against Digvesh Singh Rathi in the final over. Rinku scored an unbeaten 83 runs off 51 balls with the help of five boundaries and seven maximums to help KKR set a 156-run target for LSG.

KKR are placed at the bottom of the IPL 2026 points table with three points and one win, while LSG are in the ninth position with 4 points and two victories.
