Lucknow. Thanks to the strong performance of Rinku Singh (83 not out), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) gave the target of 156 runs to Lucknow Super Giants in the 38th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on Sunday. Here today, Lucknow Super Giants captain Ribhish Pant won the toss and decided to bowl first. Kolkata Knight Riders, who came to bat, had to face the havoc of Mohsin Khan.
At one time KKR had lost four wickets at the score of 31 runs. Tim Seifert (0) and captain Ajinkya Rahane (10) were dismissed by Mohsin Khan. Angkrish Raghuvanshi was declared out on nine runs for obstructing the field. Rovman Powell (one) was dismissed for the fourth wicket after scoring one run. In times of such crisis, Cameron Green and Rinku Singh tried to handle the innings. Both the batsmen added 42 runs for the fifth wicket. In the 11th over, Mohsin gave the fifth blow to KKR by dismissing Cameron Green in 21 balls (34).
Anukul Rai (zero) and Ramandeep Singh (six) were out after scoring runs. Kolkata Knight Riders scored 155 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs. KKR scored 26 runs in the last over which included four tremendous sixes by Rinku Singh. Rinku bravely faced the bowlers of Lucknow Super Giants and played an unbeaten inning of 83 runs in 51 balls, hitting seven fours and five sixes.
He added 62 runs with Sunil Narayan for the eighth wicket. Sunil Narayan remained unbeaten after scoring four runs. Mohsin Khan took five wickets for Lucknow Super Giants. George Linde dismissed one batsman.
