Mudigere: Two youths were seriously injured after a car lost control and crashed into a tree near Niduvāle in Balur hobli of Mudigere taluk on Sunday (April 27), amid rain.
The injured have been identified as Kiran and Prafull, residents of Harmakki village in Mudigere taluk. Both sustained severe injuries and heavy bleeding in the accident.
According to reports, the accident occurred when the car went out of control and hit a tree. At that time, MLA Nayana Motamma, who was returning from a mass wedding programme at Horanadu temple, noticed the incident and rushed to help.
She shifted the injured youths in her own vehicle to Krishna Hospital in Banakal via Niduvāle, where they were given first aid. Later, they were referred to a hospital in Mangaluru for further treatment.
Locals appreciated the MLA’s timely assistance to the victims.
