Chennai: Sanju Samson continued his impressive run in IPL 2025, reaching a major milestone during Chennai Super Kings’ match against Gujarat Titans on Sunday (April 26).
Despite getting out early in the match, Samson entered the record books by completing 5,000 runs in the Indian Premier League. He achieved the landmark with a boundary off Kagiso Rabada in the second over.
Samson reached the milestone in just 3,555 deliveries, making him the third-fastest player in IPL history to achieve the feat. He now stands behind AB de Villiers (3,288 balls) and David Warner (3,554 balls).
Among Indian players, Samson has become the fastest to reach 5,000 IPL runs, surpassing Suresh Raina and KL Rahul.
