New Delhi: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) wicketkeeper Sanju Samson pulled off an MS Dhoni-style lightning-fast stumping to dismiss Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Shubman Gill in the IPL 2026 clash at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Sunday, April 26.
With that stumping, Samson helped CSK to break the 58-run partnership for the first between Gill and Sai Sudharsan. The GT skipper walked back to the dressing room after scoring 33 runs off 23 balls with the help of three sixes and a boundary.

The dismissal came when Noor Ahmed bowled a wide in the seventh over, and Gill missed out on the flick shot. The CSK wicketkeeper was too quick from behind the stumps and whipped the bails in the blink of an eye with Gill’s foot in the air. His brilliant work gave CSK their first breakthrough in the match.
