According to The StarFang took to Xiaohongshu on April 13 to document a family outing with her two daughters, Chantelle, aged seven, and Charlotte, five. The post initially captured a relatable family moment, showing the trio gathered around a steaming hotpot.

However, a subsequent image showed Fang preparing to soak her feet in a large wok filled with mala broth (a spicy, numbing soup base typically reserved for Sichuan-style dining).

The scene quickly went viral, drawing mix reactions from netizens.

“Does Aaron know you’re using his favorite hotpot for this?” one user commented.

Others questioned the hygiene of the practice, wondering if the broth was the same as the one used for their meal.

Addressing the backlash, Fang clarified that the foot soak did not involve the same pot used for eating. She explained that the practice is a specialized treatment originating from Chongqing. According to 8daysshe said these herbal-infused mala broths are used in foot spa therapies to “dispel dampness” from the body.

In a follow-up post, Fang shared an image of the actual procedure. While some skeptics remained, others expressed intrigue regarding the growing popularity of regional health remedies and alternative spa treatments.

Fang, 39, came from a modest background. Her family were only able to move to the city and purchase a car after her marriage to Kwok.

Kwok, 61, began his career as a trained dancer before achieving massive success as an actor and singer. He is celebrated as one of Hong Kong’s “Four Heavenly Kings,” alongside Jacky Cheung, Leon Lai, and Andy Lau.

The couple publicly announced their relationship in 2015 and wed two years later. They share three daughters, with their youngest born just last year.
