This launch is being seen as a change in Musk’s strategy of making all-in-one apps. Now the company seems to be working towards expanding its ecosystem through different apps.
These powerful features will be available in XChat
Many advanced features have been given to the users in XChat. This includes facilities like audio and video calling, text messaging, group chat and file sharing.
Keeping privacy in mind, features like disappearing messages, option to edit and delete messages for everyone, and blocking screenshots have also been added to the app.
Claims no tracking and advertising
The company claims that special care has been taken of users’ privacy in XChat. There is neither any kind of tracking nor advertisements are shown in it.
Also, this app comes with end-to-end encryption and PIN security, keeping users’ data safe. With these features, XChat is preparing to directly challenge WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger.
Currently available only for iOS users
At present, XChat has been launched only on the iOS platform. However, in the coming time it can be made available on other platforms also.
Benji Taylor has indicated that more new updates and features will be added to the app soon.

More new features can be added to XChat in the coming time, due to which the company is planning to further strengthen its app ecosystem. With the arrival of XChat, competition among messaging apps is likely to intensify.
