Singer Sonu Nigam shared a video capturing a spontaneous interaction with fans in Rotterdam, Netherlands, as they played his song while heading to attend his concert.

The video shows Sonu Nigam seated in his car with his microphone and earpiece ready, noticing a nearby vehicle playing his track “Yeh Ishq Ishq” from Dhurandhar. Reacting to the moment, he remarked that the fans were unaware he was right behind them while they were on their way to his show. He then began singing along to the song.


Fans react to surprise encounter

The singer asked his driver to move closer to the car, rolled down his window and greeted the fans. The passengers responded with smiles and waves after recognising him. “So sweet,” he said, as the clip ended with a view of the concert venue. He captioned the post, “When you see your concert has already begun for your audiences in their car.”

The video received positive reactions online. Tanmay Bhat commented, “So fun,” while several fans praised the interaction and the singer’s gesture.

“Yeh Ishq Ishq Hai” has been composed by Shashwat Sachdev and is a resampled version of a song from the 1960 film Barsaat Ki Raat. The track also features rapper Reble.

Singer expresses grief over Asha Bhosle’s demise

In a separate post, Sonu Nigam expressed grief over the death of Asha Bhosle. Sharing an emotional note on Instagram, he described her as one of the greatest voices in Indian film music and reflected on her long career and influence.

He recalled their association from their first meeting in 1994 to their last concert together in December 2024, along with their recent collaborations. He added that her contribution to music and her dedication to practice continued to inspire artists across generations.
