Bhooth Bangla Box Office Collection Day 9: The box office performance of Bhooth Bangla is gaining traction as the film featuring Akshay Kumar has successfully surpassed the Rs 100 crore milestone within just nine days of its release. Directed by Priyadarshan, this horror-comedy has demonstrated remarkable growth during its second weekend, overcoming mixed reviews and showcasing the enduring charm of the actor-director partnership. The film's entry into the Rs 100 crore club marks a significant achievement for the team.

As per the latest box office data from Sacnilk, Bhooth Bangla garnered around Rs 10.75 crore on its second Saturday (Day 9). This increase in earnings indicates a notable rise compared to weekday figures, reflecting renewed audience interest over the weekend. The film had already shown a steady performance during its first week, amassing approximately Rs 84.40 crore in net collections in India.

On Day 8, the collection reached Rs 5.75 crore, and with the Day 9 figures now included, the total net collection in India stands at an impressive Rs 100.90 crore. Meanwhile, the gross collection in India has climbed to approximately Rs 120.10 crore. With no significant Bollywood releases this week, the film is expected to perform well on Sunday and maintain stability throughout the week.

The success of Bhooth Bangla also highlights another successful collaboration between Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan, a duo renowned for their iconic comedy films over the years. This film blends horror with comedy, a genre that has gained substantial popularity among Indian audiences recently, a niche that Priyadarshan and Akshay have previously excelled in with Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007). The storyline follows Arjun Maurya, portrayed by Akshay Kumar, who travels to his ancestral village to plan his sister’s wedding. However, the plot thickens when he encounters a local legend about a demon named Vadhusur, rumored to cause brides to vanish on their wedding night. Initially skeptical, Arjun soon finds himself facing a terrifying supernatural confrontation.

In addition to Akshay Kumar, the film boasts a robust supporting cast, including Wamiqa Gabbi, Tabu, Mithila Palkar, Rajpal Yadav, and Jisshu Sengupta, all of whom enhance the film’s entertainment value. Produced by Balaji Motion Pictures in collaboration with Cape of Good Films, the film was originally scheduled for release on April 10 but was postponed to April 17. This delay appears to have benefited the film, allowing it to take advantage of a less crowded box office window.
