The terrifying incident occurred at Arun Jaitley Stadium when everyone became anxious about what had happened.
Scary moment on the field The incident took place on the third ball of the third over. The batter Priyansh Arya made a mistimed shot that ascended high into the atmosphere. Ngidi executed a catching attempt but misjudged the situation.

The doctors examined him on the field, which showed that he needed assistance to walk. A stretcher was called, and an ambulance driver made an uncommon entry onto the field. Ngidi received neck support before emergency services took him to the hospital.

Delhi Capitals miss Ngidi badly
The absence of Ngidi from the field created a major problem for Delhi Capitals. The match became difficult for Delhi Capitals after Ngidi left the field. They had earlier scored a huge total of 264 runs, which looked more than enough.
Punjab Kings performed an exceptional chase under Shreyas Iyer's leadership. They completed their chase of the target within 18.5 overs, achieving the highest successful chase in IPL history.
Delhi clearly missed Ngidi’s presence with the ball. His slower deliveries and control over the game would have provided valuable assistance on a high-scoring pitch.
Axar Patel and his team had to use other options. Vipraj Nigam joined the team as an impact substitute but ended up having limited effect on the game.
Relief for fans and teams
Things have improved for the fans and the team too. The game was won by no one other than the Delhi Capitals, although everyone was concerned about Ngidi’s health status. Support from his team and even the opponent team’s players was witnessed. The fans were also very much concerned due to his situation.
Good news for those who have been worrying about him. He would be discharged soon from the hospital since his health has become stable enough now.
