The body of a man was found near a supermarket branch in Stockton. Emergency services, including Cleveland Police officers, were called to Redhill Road in Roseworth on the afternoon of April 24, after the tragic discovery was made.
The body was found behind the local Heron Foods branch, police said. A statement from the force read: "The body of a man was sadly found yesterday afternoon, Friday 24th April, on Redhill Road in Roseworth, Stockton (behind Heron Foods shop)."
The statement, released on Saturday, April 25, added: "The death of the man, believed to be in his 30s, is not being treated as suspicions at this time.
"The man's next of kin have been informed and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
Witnesses said to have seen a large number of emergency response vehicles in the area, including police officers and firefighters, TeessideLive reports.
A police cordon was also erected, the news outlet added.
