ITV viewers were quick to recognise two contestants on brand new competition show The Neighbourhood.
Hosted by Graham Norton, the programme follows six real families from across the UK as they relocate to a close-knit village for the chance to scoop £250,000.
Contestants must win over their neighbours and forge strong enough alliances to avoid being eliminated. The only way to remain safe is to secure immunity throughout a series of challenges.
Just minutes into the opening episode, contestants faced a gruelling challenge in which they were suspended seven metres in the air on a moving washing line.
Relying solely on first impressions, the cast were quizzed about their fellow neighbours and tasked with identifying who each question referred to, reports the Mirror.
However, viewers were swiftly distracted by twins Lyndsey and Louise, whom many recognised from Channel 4's Taskmaster.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one fan commented: "Swear those twins on #TheNeighbourhood were on Taskmaster once."
Someone else said: "Me clocking the twins from Taskmaster #TheNeighbourhood."
While a third added: "I know that I watch too much tv when I immediately recognised the twins from Taskmaster #theneighbourhood."
And yet another viewer commented: "The Thompson Twins from @taskmaster are on that new #theneighbourhood programme."
Hailing from Liverpool, the 25-year-olds boast over 90,000 followers on TikTok and a further 22,000 on Instagram. They also appeared on Taskmaster Series 20, Episode 3 last year.
The sisters are competing in the brand-new ITV1 series alongside Lyndsey's girlfriend Rosie, 28. Their rivals include The Bradons, The Kandolas and Samra, The Lozman Sturrocks, The Pescuds and The Uni Boys.
Despite it being only the opening day of the competition, the families have already cast their votes for the neighbour they wish to see leave the village. Viewers will discover who was eliminated in Saturday (April 25) night's episode.
Reflecting on his role as presenter ahead of the series launch, broadcaster Graham said: "One of the loveliest things about the show is seeing households who would never meet in real life, not only meeting but forming proper bonds of friendship.
"There are a few moments in the show that really do bring a tear to my eye because it's just so genuine, so lovely and properly heartwarming."
