Today has been a day of great turmoil for the Aam Aadmi Party. Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha along with six other MPs led a major revolt. He has left his old company of about 15 years and joined BJP. Opposition parties also reacted to this big political development. Punjab Congress President and MP Amarinder Singh Raja Vading said that the Aam Aadmi Party should remain alert. Congress leader Udit Raj even said that the real threat has arisen on the Punjab government.
Udit Raj further said, ‘Aam Aadmi Party has merged with BJP. If a group leaves the party with two-thirds majority, it gets recognition. Now the real Aam Aadmi Party belongs to Raghav Chadha and Sandeep Pathak.
Udit Raj alleged, AAP leaders in Punjab have to pay by extortion. If there is even a slight deviation in collection, then these people sideline him from the party. This is the main reason. Now the Punjab government is also in danger. I think the Punjab government will fall because there is no principle in this party.
Be alert, lest 50 MLAs run away: Raja Vading
Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Vading advised the Aam Aadmi Party to remain alert. He said that it should not happen that 50 AAP MLAs change in a day, as of now the MPs have gone. He questioned that if these leaders were sent to Rajya Sabha without criteria then it was bound to happen. The same thing will happen when you make Rajya Sabha members by seeing money, big industrialists and big businessmen without ideology and help people in many ways. Vading said that I am worried that MLAs may also run away in the same manner. Many are afraid and many are angry with the party. Vading said that unless a person with ideology is elected, this will keep happening with the parties.
I am not surprised: Pargat Singh
On the question of 7 AAP MPs joining BJP, Congress MLA Pargat Singh said that it is not a surprise for me, because this was his team. Sit there or sit here. Who did not say anything for Punjab… Apart from Vikramjit Sahni and Baba Seenchewal, I think hardly anyone has raised any voice on the issue of Punjab. He further said that BJP did the same as you did. Pargat Singh says that with this step BJP has shown AAP its status and asked it to remain our B team.
