
New Delhi, 24 April. In a dramatic development in the national capital on Friday, three Rajya Sabha MPs of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led by Raghav Chadha first announced to leave the party and shortly after reached the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters, met BJP National President Nitin Naveen and joined the BJP.
Raghav Chadha, Sandeep Singh and Ashok Mittal formally announced their resignation from AAP at a press conference here. After that he reached the BJP headquarters, where the BJP President welcomed him by feeding him sweets.
It is noteworthy that AAP has 10 MPs in the Rajya Sabha. Of these, seven are from Punjab and three from Delhi. Raghav told in the press conference that more than two-thirds of AAP’s Rajya Sabha MPs are with him. He has also signed. These MPs include many leaders including Harbhajan Singh, Swati Maliwal, Rajendra Gupta, Sandeep Pathak, Vikramjit Sahni and Ashok Mittal along with Raghav Chadha.

After the latest resignation, AAP now has only three MPs left in the Rajya Sabha. These include Sanjay Singh (Delhi), ND Gupta (Delhi) and water activist Balbir Singh Sichewal (Punjab).
