New Delhi: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) opener Phil Salt was ruled out of the IPL 2026 clash against the Gujarat Titans (GT) at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium on Friday, April 24. RCB won the toss and opted to field first in the match.
Captain Patidar revealed at the toss that Phil Salt is out due to injury, and was replaced by England’s Jacob Bethell. Salt has scored 202 runs in six IPL 2026 matches at a strike rate of 168.33.
“I just feel this will be a bowl-first pitch. And as you all know, chasing gives us a lot of clarity about the result, the score and the total. One change – Salty got injured, Bethell is in,” said RCB skipper Patidar at the toss.
