Xiaomi’s Redmi A7 4G series was launched earlier this week and is now available for sale in India. This series includes Redmi A7 4G and Redmi A7 Pro 4G. Both phones have 120Hz HD+ display, Unisoc T7250 chipset and 64GB storage (expandable up to 2TB).

The Pro variant gets a larger 6,300mAh battery, a brighter display, more RAM, and a newer Android version, while the standard model gets a slightly smaller display, 5,200mAh battery, and fewer software updates.

Price and availability
The Redmi A7 4G is priced at ₹10,999 (3GB + 64GB), while the Redmi A7 Pro 4G is priced at ₹11,999 (4GB + 64GB). However, on the official website of Xiaomi, these phones are listed at ₹ 10,499 and ₹ 11,499 respectively. These smartphones are also available at retail stores of Amazon, Flipkart and Xiaomi.

Talking about color options, Black and Blue colors will be available in Redmi A7 4G. Also, Black and Orange color options will be available in Redmi A7 Pro 4G phone.

Features and Specifications
Redmi A7 Pro 4G has a 6.9-inch HD+ (720×1600 pixels) display, which supports 120Hz refresh rate and 800 nits brightness. Whereas Redmi A7 4G has a 6.88-inch HD+ display, which has 120Hz refresh rate and 600 nits brightness. Both phones come with Wet Touch technology and TÜV certified eye protection.

Both smartphones in the Redmi A7 4G series are powered by Unisoc T7250 chipset and LPDDR4X RAM, with the Pro model offering 4GB and the standard variant offering 3GB. Both models support virtual RAM expansion. The phones come with 64GB of storage (expandable up to 2TB using the dedicated MicroSD slot).

The Redmi A7 Pro 4G comes with Android 16-based HyperOS 3 and is promised four years of Android updates and six years of security updates. At the same time, Redmi A7 runs on Android 15-based HyperOS 2 and with it, two years of Android updates and four years of security updates are promised.

Both the Redmi A7 4G and A7 Pro 4G phones come with a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel selfie shooter. Both devices have a mono speaker with boosted output and a single microphone. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, FM radio, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Both smartphones include a fingerprint scanner, accelerometer, and an electronic compass for security.

The Redmi A7 Pro has a 6,300mAh battery, while the Redmi A7 has a 5,200mAh battery. Both handsets support 15W wired charging and 7.5W wired reverse charging. Both the smartphones come with IP52 rating for dust and splash resistance. The Pro variant measures 171.56 x 79.47 x 8.15mm and weighs 208g, while the base Redmi A7 measures 171.79 x 79.77 x 8.26mm and weighs 193g.
