A significant portion of our country's population struggles with its economic situation. To provide financial security to such individuals, the government implements numerous welfare schemes. In this article, we will introduce you to one such scheme under which unorganized laborers and workers receive a pension. This scheme is known as the *Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana*.

**A Monthly Pension of ₹3,000**
The *Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana* is designed for workers in the unorganized sector—such as street vendors, domestic workers, construction laborers, and others. By providing a monthly pension to workers after the age of 60, this scheme serves as a vital support system during their twilight years. Once a person reaches an age where their physical capacity to work diminishes, the government provides this pension to help sustain their livelihood. Furthermore, in the event of the beneficiary's demise, their spouse receives a monthly pension of ₹1,500.

**How to Avail the Benefits of the Scheme**
This is a voluntary scheme. If you are an unorganized sector worker and wish to avail yourself of its benefits, it is essential to understand the basic details of the program. Depending on your age (within the 18–40 age bracket), you are required to deposit a monthly premium ranging from ₹55 to ₹200.
