Online travel firm Expedia Group on Thursday named former Snap executive Derek Andersen as its new finance chief, replacing Scott Schenkel.
The change comes amid lingering fears of an AI-led disruption to the business models of most online travel firms.
Andersen was most recently finance chief at Snapchat parent Snap, and will take charge at Expedia on May 11. He will report to CEO Ariane Gorin, Expedia said in a release.
The Seattle-based owner of Hotels.com is set to report its first-quarter earnings on May 7.
Outgoing CFO Schenkel will step down after 16 months in the role.
Shares of the company were down 2% pre-market.
