Uttar Pradesh’s council-run education system is witnessing a gradual shift toward digital monitoring and evaluation, with a growing number of schools adopting an online student report card platform under a statewide assessment initiative.

According to available data from the education department, more than 1,06,000 schools have been evaluated so far. Of these, around 67,200 schools have begun using the digital system to download and manage student report cards, representing roughly 63 percent adoption across the state.

The digital platform has replaced parts of the traditional paper-based reporting process, allowing schools to record and share academic performance, attendance, grades, and other student-related information in an online format. Officials say the system is designed to improve access to student records for parents and streamline communication between schools and families.

The initiative is part of a broader evaluation framework aimed at tracking learning outcomes in council-run schools. Education authorities have stated that the system also enables faster data collection and more structured monitoring of school performance across districts.

District-level variations in adoption have been observed. Some regions, including Baghpat, Ghaziabad, Saharanpur, and Siddharthnagar, have reported full implementation of the digital report card system. Other districts such as Sant Kabir Nagar, Firozabad, Fatehpur, Ambedkar Nagar, and Chandauli have also shown relatively high levels of adoption, ranging between 90 and 97 percent.

Alongside the rollout, education officials note that the shift toward digital tools is part of an ongoing effort to strengthen data-based decision-making in the school system. However, implementation continues to vary across districts, with some still in transition toward full digital integration.
