Thunderstorms, rain and hailstorms lashed Hyderabad and other districts on Thursday afternoon as temperatures came down briefly. Overcast skies and light rains are expected in the city.
The Meteorological Department in Hyderabad stated that there is a possibility of light rainfall occurring within the next 2–3 hours in Hyderabad, Kamareddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Rajanna Sircilla, Ranga Reddy, Vikarabad, and Yadadri Bhuvanagiri. The department further indicated that winds are likely to blow at speeds of up to 40 kmph.
The IMD has stated that a trough and cumulonimbus clouds are influencing weather conditions in Telangana. It has forecast that rain is likely to occur on Friday in Nizamabad, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, and Mahabubnagar. Maximum temperatures across the state are expected to rise by one to two degrees over the next three days.
