A total of 5,337,778 students registered for the UP Board Class 10 and 12 examinations. Of these, 2,761,696 students appeared for the Class 10 exams, and 2,576,082 students appeared for the Class 12 exams.
What is the minimum score required to pass the exam?
To pass the UP Board Class 10 and 12 examinations, students are required to secure a minimum of 33 percent marks. If a student falls short of this score in one or two subjects, they will be given an opportunity to appear for a compartment examination.

System for Converting Marks into Grades and Grade Points
In the UP Board Class 10 examination results, a system is employed to convert numerical marks into grades and grade points. Students securing between 91 and 100 marks are awarded an A1 grade. Those securing between 81 and 90 marks receive an A2 grade. Students with scores between 71 and 80 receive a B1 grade, while those scoring between 61 and 70 receive a B2 grade. Students securing between 51 and 60 marks receive a C1 grade, and those scoring between 41 and 50 marks receive a C2 grade. The minimum passing grade is ‘D’, which is applicable to students securing between 33 and 40 marks.
