Prince Louis Arthur Charles of Wales is celebrating his eighth birthday today. The Prince and Princess of Wales welcomed their third child into the world on this day in 2018.
Despite being one of the youngest members of the Royal Family, Prince George and Princess Charlotte's little brother has definitely earned his place as one of the public's favourite members of the Firm. Whether he's pulling faces or yelling in delight, royal fans can't seem to get enough of Louis and his cheeky antics.
From his cheeky faces at the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee in 2022, to his inherently playful nature at his mum's Christmas Carol service each December, here The Express takes a look back at 13 of Louis' cheekiest moments.
Prince Louis and his siblings made their first public appearance of 2026 at the Easter Sunday service earlier this month. The young royal, closely followed by his big sister, waved at delighted royal fans waiting outside the church where the service was held in Windsor.
Princess Catherine was seen keeping an eye on her youngest son as the family sat front row at her annual Christmas Carol service in December 2025. Louis can be smiling at his mum - with the young royal also joined by his doting older brother and sister.
The young royal made an appearance during the Royal Family's Christmas Day walk in 2024. Louis, alongside his two older siblings, got to engage with members of the public, who lined the walk to St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham. During the event, Louis drew laughter as he smashed a Terry's Chocolate Orange on the floor during a church service. According to The Sun, Reverend Canon Dr Paul Rhys Williams told Louis that you have to tap it and unwrap it.
Royal fans gathered outside the church, listening to the service via speakers, then heard him tell Prince Louis: "Just drop it."
Prince Louis attended the Princess of Wales's Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey in 2023 - just as he has in previous years and years since. Although his siblings had attended before, it was Louis's first time attending the annual event.
As the family-of-five stepped out, Louis couldn't help but let his cheeky side out at one given opportunity. The then-five-year-old was spotted trying to blow out his sister's candle as she stood next to him. Charlotte, clearly used to her brother's cheeky antics, laughed at what he was doing.
Prince Louis - joined by his siblings - began his school holidays in July 2023 with a visit to Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford. Amusing fans, Louis was seen cheekily signalled whilst he was seen sitting on one vehicle.
The Air Tattoo is the world's largest military air show, featuring over 250 aircraft from 25 nations and attracting over 200,00 spectators over the weekend. The event is staged in support of the RAF Charitable Trust, which aims to support the RAF and encourage interest in the aviation industry among young people.
Louis was spotted entertaining the adoring crowds during the annual Trooping the Colour event in June 2023. Pulling an array of funny faces, the young royal - who had turned five just a few weeks earlier - once again amused fans. Princess Catherine was also clearly entertained by her youngest son, with the royal seen looking down adoringly at Louis and laughing as she caught eye of his antics.
Walking hand-in-hand with his mum Kate as the family attended the 2023 Easter Sunday service, Louis was seen displaying some sweet, yet cheeky faces to onlookers. This appearance also shocked fans who pointed out that Prince Louis - then aged five - is "growing up fast" - prompting them to think he will likely be tall as an adult. Louis was also spotted cheekily poking his tongue out at those watching.
Prince Louis joined Charlotte in the front row at the historic event, with their big brother taking on a separate special role at the King's coronation in May 2023. Louis was photographed pointing something out to his big sister during Charles's crowning at Westminster Abbey - and also on the balcony following the service. Louis, then aged five, could also been seen pulling an array of faces on the balcony - and yawning as he sat in the carriage on the way to the coronation ceremony.
Pictured at the late Queen's Platinum Pageant during her Platinum Jubilee celebrations, Louis could be seen throwing his arms in the air, sticking out his tongue and also, attempting to "shh" his mum. Princess Charlotte was even spotted trying to calm down her overly-excited little brother.
Prince Louis joined in on the Balcony appearance as part of the Trooping The Colour in 2022. As the planes made their way over the balcony, the young royal had a hilarious reaction to the loud noise as he stood next to the late Queen - who passed away just three months later. Louis comically placed his hands over his ears and made his face look like he was yelling out. In a sweet moment with her great-grandson, Queen Elizabeth was seen encouraging Louis to look out for the planes. Many social media users described his reaction as a "whole mood".
Louis and his siblings joined their parents to make their red carpet debut in December 2020. In a statement released by Kensington Palace, the family-of-five were set to attend "a special pantomime performance of The National Lottery's Pantoland at The Palladium, which was held to thank key workers and their families for their phenomenal efforts this year". Louis, sitting on his mum's lap during the performance, appeared mesmerised by the lights and action around him. He was also seen clapping from the stands as the pantomime took place.
Louis joined his mum and his siblings to watch Prince William and Prince Harry play at a polo match in Wokingham in 2019. The then-one-year-old was seen providing lots of comedic moments at the match - as he toddled towards his aunt Meghan Markle and cousin Prince Archie wearing Kate's Ray-Ban sunglasses.
Louis made his first-ever balcony appearance during the 2019 Trooping the Colour. The young royal, who had only just celebrated his first birthday just weeks prior, was spotted in the arms of both his mum and dad - who wanted to make sure their little one felt comfortable at the event. Louis didn't appear amused at the event, which could be overwhelming for a young child, but his appearance delighted royal fans.
