New Delhi: Actress Hansika Motwani faced massive backlash recently over her views on the casting couch in the world of showbiz. The actress has been working in the entertainment industry since childhood. However, her views did not sit well with the social media users, who trolled her for her remarks.

Actress Hansika Motwani, in an interview with Hauterfly, shared that she has never experienced a casting couch. She said, “Mujhe pata hai kya lagta hai jisko kaam karna hai na asli kaam, unke sath yeh sab hota nahi hoga. Kyunki mere sath touchwood yeh sab nahi hua (I feel that if someone truly wants to work and focus on real work, these things probably don’t happen to them). Honestly, I can’t give a comment on this because I don’t know.”

Her response to the casting couch went viral on Reddit and social media users started to call her out. Many redditors reacted rather strongly to her opinion on the casting couch.

One user wrote, “That no was so fake lol. As if the casting couches flashed before her eyes, she almost cringes.”

Another commented, “Arrogant, tone deaf.”

Earlier, Hansika Motwani made headlines for her recent divorce with her husband Sohael Khaturiya. The duo had a lavish wedding at Mundota Fort and Palace in Jaipur in December 2022. However, their marriage did not work and they were granted divorce by a family court by mutual consent on March 11.
