Partnership: An important partnership has recently taken place between India’s leading automobile companies Hyundai Motor Company and TVS Motor Company. Under this agreement, both the companies will jointly develop and commercialize electric three-wheeler (E3W) vehicles in India. This step can give a new direction to the rapidly growing electric mobility sector in the country.

The concept has already been presented
It is noteworthy that both the companies had earlier presented the concept model of an electric three-wheeler in January 2025 during the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Now, almost a year later, this partnership has been formalized.

The market is growing rapidly
According to data, sales of electric three-wheelers in India stood at more than 8.30 lakh units in the last financial year. Earlier this figure was 6.98 lakh units. That means, on a year-on-year basis, this segment has registered a growth of about 19 percent, which shows its increasing popularity.
