Actor Akshay Oberoi is set to explore complex gender dynamics in his upcoming film
Love Lottery, which raises a thought-provoking question—can men also be victims?
The film aims to present a balanced perspective on emotional vulnerability and societal expectations , encouraging audiences to move beyond binary views of gender. Known for choosing unconventional roles , Oberoi said he was drawn to the project for its courage to ask uncomfortable questions and spark meaningful conversations.
Akshay adds, "As an actor, I’ve always been interested in stories that challenge perception, and as a human being, I feel it’s important to be part of narratives that encourage dialogue rather than dictate conclusions. Love Lottery is not about proving a point, but about asking a question and letting audiences reflect on it. If the film can spark even a few honest conversations among people, I think we’ve achieved something meaningful. At the end of the day, empathy is the core of any progressive society , and this film is a step towards fostering that empathy in a more inclusive way."
