Vetrimaaran 's 'Vada Chennai' holds a huge fan base and be it the characters, the storyline and even the pacing, the Dhanush starrer is literally a gem in Tamil cinema .
Dhanush has now made the announcement of ' Vada Chennai 2 ' during the pre-release event of his upcoming film 'Kara'.
Sequel teaser and tagline
As reported by India Today, Dhanush directly addressed fans waiting for the next chapter. He promised a strong and impactful continuation of the story.
"Before you ask, Vada Chennai 2 will arrive soon. It will come with a bang. To win, first we have to fight. It is not as far as you think. Infact, it's closer than you think. Anbuvin Ezhuchi (the tagline of the sequel) will arrive in a big way."
'Arasan' spin-off in works
Interestingly, the director Vetri Maaran is simultaneously developing a spin-off titled 'Arasan'. This project focuses on supporting characters Guna, Senthil, and Chandra from the original film. Silambarasan and Vijay Sethupathi will lead the cast in this separate story.
Dhanush’s directorial plans
Dhanush is preparing to return behind the camera after 'Idly Kadai'. He has reportedly locked the story for his next directorial venture and reports from Filmibeat suggest the story has a strong female-centric angle.
