Abhishek Sharma delivered a spectacular display with the bat for Sunrisers Hyderabad during their IPL 2026 encounter against the Delhi Capitals on Wednesday. He remained in his element on Wednesday evening at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium and struck a commanding 135 runs for his side. His knocks of the game and his interesting gestures of celebration went viral all over the internet along with the crowd's reaction.

Abhishek's Century Celebration and Crowd Reaction

He reached his century beautifully and his celebration style while at the middle of the pitch of folding hands into a joined one was calm and composed. His celebration was soon followed by a gesture towards the crowd, a shot that stole the show on social media on Wednesday night.

Abhishek's gesture of celebration was also followed by many strong emotional scenes in the stands. His father, who came to witness the match at the stadium on Wednesday evening, was seen clapping enthusiastically. Kavya Maran also witnessed the incredible moment on Wednesday evening with the team owner of Sunrisers Hyderabad getting up and applauding during the star performer's extraordinary display. The images of these scenes also went viral in the twitter and the rest of the platforms on social media and the cricket fans were enjoying all of it.

The special knock included 10 boundaries and 10 sixes in addition to him maintaining a strike rate of close to 200 while playing the innings, his knock against the Delhi Capitals had a total display of control against the bowling attack which has to be one of his best innings in the IPL till date and another phenomenal innings that added to his growing legacy.

SRH Batters Goes Bersek, Posts Mammoth Total vs DC

Having asked to bat first, Sunrisers Hyderabad did exceptionally well and have put up a monumental 242/2 in 20 overs. Abhishek Sharma stole the show with a very well constructed 135 from 68 balls as SRH built on a solid start from the top order.

With regards to bowling for Delhi Capitals, most bowlers conceded runs in a flat Hyderabad pitch. Axar Patel picked up one wicket from the bowlers that featured in most of the bowling attack, but still ended up on the expensive side. SRH were looking to bat big on this ground, and their aggressive PowerPlay ensured just that.

DC were struggling to bat at a good run rate from the beginning with the big target at their hand. This ground made it an exciting and high scoring match as SRH maintained their lead.
