Tim Cook Apple : Apple CEO Tim Cook has announced that after leading the company for almost 15 years, he is stepping down from his position at the Cupertino giant. Cook wrote a letter to the Apple community, in which he handed over his responsibility to John Ternes, head of hardware engineering. With this, an era is coming to an end at Apple.

Tim Cook took charge of Apple from August 24, 2011 in place of Steve Jobs. He joined Apple in 1998 as Senior Vice President of Tim Cook Worldwide Operations. Under his leadership, Apple became the first company in the world to reach $1 trillion, $2 trillion and $3 trillion market cap. The company’s income in fiscal year 2011 was approximately $108 billion i.e. $10.8 thousand crore, which will increase to more than $394 billion by fiscal year 2024. Tim Cook led the launch of the Apple Watch, AirPods and M-series chips, while also rapidly expanding high-margin services businesses such as the App Store, Apple Music and iCloud.
Tim Cook will continue to serve as CEO until September 1, 2026, after which he will assume the role of executive chairman of Apple’s board. Apple experienced tremendous growth under Cook’s leadership, launching new products like the Apple Watch as well as services like Apple Music and Apple TV Plus.
Apple’s chief was ecstatic that he was leading a company that had success in improving consumers’ lives. He said, “I feel a gratitude that can’t be expressed in words; I’m glad that somehow I was able to be the person on the other side of those emails.” Cook added, “Leading a company that ignites people’s imaginations and enriches their lives in ways so profound as to be impossible to describe. What an honor and privilege it has been for me.”
