Hyundai Motor company has introduced its new electric car Hyundai Ioniq 3. It is a compact hatchback specially designed for the European market. In terms of size, it is bigger than Hyundai Inster EV and smaller than Hyundai Kona Electric.

How is the design?

The Hyundai Ioniq 3 is based on the new design concept ‘Art of Steel’, which gives it a modern and futuristic look. The front end is sleek and features unique pixel-style lights. The company calls it the “Aero Hatch”. It is designed so that it moves forward with less air resistance, which improves efficiency and range.

Battery and performance

The car is based on the Exclusive Electric Platform (E-GMP). It is powered by a 42.2 kWh battery, which gives a range of around 344 km on a full charge. Apart from this, a large 61 kWh battery is also available, which offers a range of up to 496 km on a single charge. This large battery is useful for long distance travel.

Power and charging

This electric car has a front-mounted motor. The standard model delivers 147hp, while the long-range model produces 135hp. The top speed of this car is around 170 km/h. As for charging, this car can charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 29 minutes.

Features and Safety

This is Hyundai’s first car to feature the Pleo Connect system. It comes with a 12.9-inch or 14.6-inch touchscreen as an option. Apart from this, modern features like climate control, digital keys are also provided.

This car is also state-of-the-art in terms of passenger safety. It is equipped with Hyundai SmartSense technology and offers many features for safe driving.
