Voters don't like Sir Keir Starmer - according to his own MPs. Sarah Champion became the latest Labour politician to admit the truth about Sir Keir, when she told an interviewer: "I'll be honest with you, people don't like Keir on the door, but it's not over this Mandelson thing. They don't like him personally. There has been a fantastic campaign by opposition parties to undermine him."

As she said, the Peter Mandelson scandal has made things worse for the Prime Minister, but he was unpopular even before he was forced to sack the former US ambassador.

And the results are clear in a catastrophic new poll, which has put Labour in fourth place on just 16% of the vote, behind Reform, the Conservatives and the Greens.

It means that Sir Keir's days in No 10 could be numbered. There's speculation that a dire result in the local election on May 7 could be the final straw for, as Labour plotters could replace the Prime Minister with a new leader such as ex-Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner.
