Friends, preparations have started for the elections to be held in Uttar Pradesh in 2027. Recently, in an important review meeting of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) held in Aligarh, State President Shaukat Ali Khan caught everyone’s attention with his tough stance and strategic announcements. The meeting, held at the party office in Shahjamal, not only focused on the preparations for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. Let us know the complete details
Plan to contest elections on 200 seats
Shaukat Ali Khan announced that AIMIM is preparing to contest about 200 seats in the 2027 assembly elections. He directed the party workers to immediately start identifying strong candidates in their respective constituencies and start work at the grassroots level to improve their chances of victory.
Strong message on discipline
Taking a tough stance, the state president warned that officials who fail to fulfill their responsibilities will not be allowed to continue in office. He stressed that holding office in name only would no longer be acceptable, and active participation at the grassroots level was now mandatory.
Emphasis on strength at booth level
The meeting highlighted the need to strengthen the organization in areas where its presence is still weak. Instructions were given to form committees at the booth level, organize regular meetings and engage more actively with local issues.
Stand on law and order issues
Shaukat Ali Khan reiterated his earlier statement regarding the Meerut encounter, and said that he stands by his views. He stressed that no fake encounter should be justified
Discussion regarding youth leadership
A comment made during the meeting gave rise to political discussions. When asked about the absence of the state youth president, he replied, “Am I old?”—a statement seen as an indication of internal turmoil within the party.
Challenges and political strategy
Under the leadership of Asaduddin Owaisi, AIMIM is actively working to strengthen its base in Uttar Pradesh. The Aligarh meeting reflects the party’s serious approach towards the 2027 elections.
