Chennai, April 20: The teaser for the much-anticipated musical horror comedy 'Karakkam', directed by Subhash Lalitha Subrahmanian, has been released by Malayalam film icon Mohanlal, much to the excitement of fans and cinema enthusiasts.


Produced by Krownstars Entertainment and Black Turtle Productions, the teaser hints at a thrilling mix of horror, humor, and energetic chaos.


It provides a vibrant yet eerie preview of the film's universe. The narrative centers around a group of young friends whose lives spiral into disorder when they encounter a series of unexpected spirits.


The teaser depicts the friends being pursued by five spirits, creating a tense and unpredictable atmosphere. It suggests that these supernatural beings, hailing from a different era, bring both mischief and danger into their lives.


While the characters appear to be fleeing, their responses blend fear, confusion, and humor, making 'Karakkam' feel less like a conventional horror film and more like a wild adventure where they strive to comprehend their bizarre circumstances.


The teaser effectively captures the film's tone, skillfully balancing elements of eeriness with fun.


The film gained attention when actor Prithviraj Sukumaran shared its initial look. The project is spearheaded by producers Ankush Singh and Kimberly Trinidade, with Subhash Lalitha Subrahmanian at the helm, known for his work on 'Charles Enterprises'.


Renowned South Indian music artist Sam C. S. is responsible for both the film's score and songs. The cast features notable talents such as Sreenath Bhasi, Femina George, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Sidharth Bharathan, Shaun Romy, Bijukuttan, Manikandan R. Achari, and Midhutty.


The screenplay is a collaborative effort by Nipin Narayanan, Subhash Lalitha Subrahmanian, and Arjun Narayanan, with the story penned by Dhanush Varghese.


Cinematography is handled by Bablu Aju, while Nithin Arol takes care of editing. The songs boast lyrics from a talented team including Anwar Ali, Vinayak Sasikumar, Muhsin Parari, and Hareesh Mohanan.


Completing the crew are Rajesh P. Velayudhan in art direction, Aravind Menon for sound mixing, and the Sync Cinema team managing sound design. Marketing and communications are overseen by Dr. Sangeetha Janachandran (Stories Social).
