Will this returning sitcom prove to be another smash hit for Netflix?
Netflix's Running Point was one of the streaming giant's biggest surprise successes of last year, and it is set to return for a second outing in just a matter of days.
The sports sitcom features rom-com favourite Kate Hudson as Isla Gordon, the first female president of a fictional NBA franchise, the Los Angeles Waves.
When her brother steps down from the role to enter rehab, Isla is thrust into the spotlight, with support from her other brothers and her best friend and assistant.
The first series finale ended on a dramatic cliffhanger, so here is everything we know about the forthcoming episodes, reports the Mirror.
Hollywood favourite Kate Hudson is, naturally, reprising her role as Isla Gordon for series two. She will be joined by Drew Tarver (The Other Two) as Isla's younger brother Sandy, Scott MacArthur (The Mick) as her elder brother Ness, and Brenda Song (The Last Showgirl) as Isla's friend and Chief of Staff Ali Lee.
Also returning is Justin Theroux (Beetlejuice Beetlejuice) as Isla's eldest brother Cam, now a full cast member having appeared in a recurring capacity during the first series, Fabrizio Guido as the Gordons' half-brother Jackie Moreno, Chet Hanks as Waves point guard Travis Bugg, Toby Sandeman as star player Marcus Winfield, and Uche Agada as rookie Dyson Gibbs, elevated to series regular.
New faces joining the cast this season include Ray Romano (Ice Age) as incoming coach Norm Stinson and Ken Marino (The Residence) as lavatory entrepreneur Al Fleischman, alongside Tommy Dewey as Magnus, Richa Moorjani as Aruna, Jake Picking as Tommy White, Blake Anderson as Leroy, Duby Maduegbunam as Benson, and Aliyah Turner as Zoé Debay.
Returning cast members comprise Jay Ellis as Jay Brown, the Waves' head coach, Dane DiLiegro as Slovenian player Badrag Knauss, Jon Glaser as divisive sports podcaster Sean Murphy, Roberto Sanchez as Stephen Ramirez, the Waves' chairman of the board, Max Greenfield as Lev Levenson, Isla's paediatrician fiancé, and Scott Evans as Charlie, Sandy's boyfriend.
The new series will also boast some hugely exciting guest appearances, with Ike Barinholtz, Octavia Spencer, Lisa Rinna, Nicole Richie and Scott Speedman all set to feature.
What will happen in Running Point season 2?
Netflix's synopsis for season two reads: "With the head coach spot wide open, a heartbreaking late-season loss in the recent rearview, and Isla's most unstable brother back in the mix, the new season of Running Point promises to be another hilarious, compulsively watchable chapter."
A trailer for Running Point's return has confirmed Isla is more driven than ever to lead the Waves to glory, yet the reappearance of Cam and a rapidly dwindling bank balance are just two of the obstacles she'll need to confront head on.
When will Running Point return?
Fans won't have long to wait for the second series of Running Point, with its arrival confirmed for later this week.
Just over a year since the show first launched, series two will land on the platform this Thursday, 23rd April.
What's more, all 10 episodes will be released simultaneously, making it the ideal weekend binge-watch.
The exact release time will vary depending on where subscribers are tuning in from. Netflix titles typically drop at midnight Pacific Time, given that the streaming giant's headquarters are located in California.
This means British viewers will be able to access the series from approximately 8am on Thursday morning.
