Yash fans are eagerly waiting for June, as his much-awaited film, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, is all set to release. Also starring Kiara Advani and Nayanthara, the film's 9-minute teaser was recently unveiled at CinemaCon 2026, leaving fans intrigued and asking for more. During an interaction at the event, Yash revealed details about Toxic's storyline and called it a love story.
Yash reveals Toxic storylineYash at CinemaCon 2026 revealed that Toxic has a unique approach to action and emotion, “With the scale, with the intensity, there should be something unique about each sequence. There should be a variation. There should be a different style, a different form adapted in action.”
He further added, "Action should be visceral. You should feel the pain. Basically, the mirror neurons should get activated. That’s why we all like cinema," he said.
Talking about the film showing dark emotions and darkest dilemmas of human emotions, the actor added, "It’s very layered. It’s not like in your face. It’s not like we are pushing it on your face and saying this is the dark side. No, it’s very layered - in a metaphoric and emotional way."
Yash wrapped the chat by calling Toxic a love story at its core while also exploring father-son revenge plot. Yash shared, "It’s a love story. There’s a love story deep down. It’s a father-son revenge saga. So I think it’s very well-designed."

He highlighted that it’s this mix of raw emotion and layered storytelling that sets the film apart, offering both scale and substance.
In a previous chat, Yash had compared Toxic to Oscar nominated film Sinners, "It is a unique, large-scale action film. It is something like Sinners, which was also unique and interesting and people accepted it and enjoyed it," Yash said.
