Iran’s ‘furious form’ in Hormuz

There is tremendous tension in the Strait of Hormuz at present and the sounds of war have started being heard again. Iran’s powerful military group IRGC now seems to be completely out of control, which is working directly on the orders of Supreme Leader Imam Mustaba Khamenei. After the attack and firing on Indian ships, now a news has come which has shocked the whole world. Iran did not even spare the ships of China, considered its closest partner.

Gave direct warning to China: ‘Move back or else we will attack’

In the latest development, the IRGC stopped a Chinese ship from crossing Hormuz and warned in clear words that if it did not immediately retreat, it could be targeted. The Consulate General of Iran in Mumbai itself has confirmed that the Chinese ship named ‘Sun Profit’ had to return empty-handed from the Strait of Hormuz. Till now it was believed that China would get special exemption from Iran, but now Iran’s attitude has changed.

Now no ‘blanket approval’, each ship will be checked separately

Iran has now implemented new and strict rules. The IRGC has made it clear that now no ship can pass through this route without ‘case-by-case’ approval. This means that no country will have a ‘blanket approval’ type system anymore; Each ship will have to obtain separate clearance from Iran. Hormuz is now completely under the military control of Iran and passing through there has now become a tough task for any country.

India expressed strong displeasure, summoned the ambassador

Earlier, when the news of firing on two Indian merchant ships came, the Indian government immediately took a tough stance. Iran’s ambassador to Delhi was summoned and the Foreign Secretary expressed his deep displeasure. India clearly said that attacks on merchant ships are a serious international issue and Iran will have to ensure the safety of Indian ships at all costs. However, Iran has currently only said that it will convey India’s concerns to its top officials.

Why did Iran suddenly change?

The question arises that why is Iran targeting its own friends? In fact, since the end of February, Iran has strengthened its hold on Hormuz. Earlier it was claimed that countries like China, India and Pakistan would be given exemption, but now Iran is following a ‘case-by-case’ policy. Iran argues that the enemy (Israel and the West) is very alert, so in the name of security it is stopping every ship and giving clearance.

Trump’s threat and Iran’s ‘U-turn’

Surprisingly, after the Israel-Lebanon ceasefire, Iran had announced the opening of Hormuz. But after a few hours it took a U-turn and returned to the old ‘control mode’. Experts believe that after continuous threats from Donald Trump, Iran has changed its strategy and is now in no mood to trust anyone.
