7.4-magnitude quake hits northern Japan; tsunami warning issued

A 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck northern Japan on Monday (April 20), Japan's Meteorological Agency (JMA) said.
It has issued a tsunami warning for waves up to three meters (10 feet).
The quake hit at 4.53pm (0753 GMT) in Pacific waters off the northern Iwate prefecture.
