New Delhi, 20 April. South Korean President Lee Jae-Myung and his wife Kim Hae-kyung were formally welcomed in front of the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday. During this, Indian President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi were present. President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi warmly welcomed the South Korean President on his arrival. Children in traditional clothes carrying the national flag and tricolor of South Korea also welcomed President Lee.
South Korean President Lee arrived in New Delhi on Sunday on a three-day official visit. Union Minister of State for Corporate Affairs Harsh Malhotra welcomed President Lee and First Lady Kim Hee Kyung at New Delhi Airport. India’s Foreign Minister Dr. S. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal had said that the visit of the President of South Korea to India is an important milestone in taking forward the Special Strategic Partnership between the two countries. “A very warm welcome to President Lee Jae Myung of the Republic of Korea on his arrival in New Delhi on a state visit to India. This is President Lee’s first visit to India,” Jaiswal had posted on Twitter.
