On March 19, Preity shared her review of Arjun’s film Dhurandhar 2, posting pictures with him and casting director Mukesh Chhabra. She praised the film, stating, “Revenge ho toh Dhurandhar jaisa ho warna na ho.” Preity commended the film’s direction, performances, music, editing, storyline, and casting. She also mentioned her mother’s eagerness to watch it again in theaters with friends, expressing her admiration for Arjun by saying, “you have hit it out of the park again.”

On the professional front, Preity is making her comeback to Bollywood after her role in Bhaiaji Superhit in 2018. She stars as the female lead in Lahore 1947, which features Sunny Deol, Shabana Azmi, Karan Deol, Ali Fazal, and Abhimanyu Singh. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan, the film is inspired by the renowned play Jis Lahore Nai Dekhya, O Jamyai Nai by Asghar Wajahat, depicting the poignant tale of a Hindu family left behind in Lahore during the Partition.

Possible Title Change for Lahore 1947

Recent reports suggest that the title of Lahore 1947 may be altered to Batwara 1947. An official confirmation is pending, but sources indicate that the new title would be more fitting for its anticipated Independence Day 2026 release. This period drama is set to be one of several films Sunny will release this year. Preity, who resides in Los Angeles with her husband Gene Goodenough and their twins, Jai and Gia, frequently travels to India for IPL matches and other professional commitments.
