Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the city intimation slip for SSC Constable GD Recruitment Exam 2026 on 19th April 2026. Candidates can check the exam city information by logging into their account with registration number and password and visiting the official website of the Commission, ssc.gov.in. This city slip will contain the name of the candidate, registration number/roll number, name of the examination, city of the examination, shift time.
The examination will be conducted from 27 April to 30 May 2026 in different cities across the country. Admit cards will be issued 3-4 days before the examination. Through this recruitment examination, recruitment will be done for the posts of Rifleman (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF, Assam Rifles and Constable in Narcotics Control Bureau.
How is selection in SSC GD exam?
First of all, there is Computer Based Examination (CBT), followed by Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST). After this the stages of medical test and document verification (DV) are completed.
Recruitment will be done on more than 25 thousand posts
A total of 25,487 posts will be appointed under this recruitment drive. There are 2020 vacancies for female and 23,467 vacancies for male candidates. There are 11,102 vacancies for General, 2605 for EWS, 5765 for OBC, 2313 for ST and 3702 for SC. There are 616 vacancies in BSF, 14,595 in CISF, 5,490 in CRPF, 1764 in SSB, 1292 in ITBP, 1706 in Assam Rifles and 23 in SC.

SSC has divided the exam this time into four phases (weeks):
- Week 1: 27 April to 02 May 2026
- Week 2: 04 May to 09 May 2026
- Week 3: 18th May to 23rd May 2026
- Week 4: 25 May to 30 May 2026
