Bollywood power couple, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone on Sunday announced that they are expecting their second child.

The couple shared a joint Instagram post, that saw their daughter, Dua, holding up mommy Deepika's positive pregnancy test kit. The announcement quickly went viral, raking in over 4.1 million likes. Celebrities including Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma, Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor and many others took to the comments to congratulate the couple and send them their love.

In a 2017 interview with Rajeev Masand, the actor had said, "The one thing I've got to do before I die is definitely have lots of babies. That's what I want to do."

But hopefully with some children around. Three little kids, scuttling about. Hopefully, be working enough to take them to shoots. Have a happy family. And at the same time, still doing what I am doing."

Singh and Padukone tied the knot in November 2018 in Italy. They welcomed their first child, Dua on September 8, 2024.

Deepika, will soon be seen starring alongside Shah Rukh Khan in 'King'. The film directed by Siddharth Anand is slated for a Christmas 2026 release. She will also be seen sharing screen space with Allu Arjun in the upcoming Atlee directorial, 'Raaka'.
