On the occasion of Somnath Swabhiman Yatra festival, devotees performed rituals in various Shivalaya temples including the famous and ancient Kailash temple of Sonbhadra district. During this period an atmosphere of religious faith and enthusiasm was seen. Devotees prayed to Lord Shiva for the happiness and prosperity of the state and district.
In this sequence, live telecast of the program of flagging off the special train of pilgrims from Lucknow’s Charbagh railway station by the Chief Minister. It was done in the Collectorate premises. In this program organized at the district level, officers and employees listened and watched the Chief Minister’s address carefully.

On this occasion, Additional District Magistrate (Judicial) Ramesh Chand, Assistant Tourism Officer Rajesh Kumar Bharti, e-District Manager Divyadosh Mishra and officers and employees and the public were present. Everyone described this initiative as an important step towards promoting religious tourism by the state government. Special enthusiasm was seen among the devotees through the program and religious and cultural activities in the district got new energy.
