Rinku Singh: In the 28th match of IPL 2026, KKR faced off against Rajasthan Royals this afternoon. After six matches, KKR finally secured their first win, largely thanks to Rinku Singh's outstanding performance. Rinku Singh scored 53 runs off 34 balls, hitting five fours and two sixes against Rajasthan Royals. Following the victory, he shared his thoughts on the match.

Thanks to Rinku Singh, KKR was able to clinch their first win. However, he did receive a lifeline during the match, which could have changed the outcome.

“When my catch was dropped, I was a bit rattled. I decided I had to stay in the game until the end and return with a win. When runs aren't coming, you start to overthink. But I wasn't nervous while playing my shots today. Luck was on my side, allowing me to perform well. I had played many innings and was waiting for a big one. This innings was significant for me and crucial for my confidence. This win will boost the team's morale as well.”

Rajasthan Royals batted first, with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryaanshi opening the innings. Suryaanshi scored 46 runs off 28 balls, including six fours and two sixes, while Jaiswal contributed 39 runs from 29 balls with four fours and two sixes. Riyan Parag and Shimron Hetmyer added 12 and 15 runs, respectively.

Unfortunately, no other batsman from Rajasthan managed to reach double digits, leading to a total of just 155 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their 20 overs.

When KKR began their chase, they struggled initially, losing six wickets for just 85 runs. However, Rinku Singh took charge, scoring an unbeaten 53 runs off 34 balls, supported by Anukul Roy, who added 29 runs from 16 balls with one four and two sixes, ultimately guiding KKR to their first victory of the season.
