Match Review: From Collapse to Comeback

 

The total score of the Rajasthan Royals was 155-9 after batting for 20 overs. The opening batsmen of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal added 81 runs together. The bowlers of KKR restricted the batting side in scoring well during their middle overs. The pair of Kartik Tyagi and Varun Chakravarthy picked up three wickets each and controlled the batting side.

 

The game began with the batting side facing challenges as Tim Seifert got out without any score in the first over thrown by Jofra Archer. With more and more players getting out, the KKR team's score went down to 52-4. The score fell further and became 85-6.

 

This was when Rinku Singh joined hands with Anukul Roy. The partnership of seventh wicket saw them build up an unbeaten 76 runs stand between them. It is worth noting that Rinku was playing in an aggressive manner, whereas Anukul did his job with consistency. It took KKR just two balls to get to their target and it was their first win of the current season.

The victory of KKRsaw them move out of the last position in the points table. KKR climbed to ninth place, thereby making Mumbai Indians fall to the last position. They have managed to score three points after getting one victory and one tie in seven matches.

 

The captain of the team, Ajinkya Rahane, will continue to take them ahead with this current winning streak. The next game of the team against the Lucknow Super Giants will be at Ekana Stadium on April 26.
