CM Yogi Adityanath started Somnath Swabhiman Yatra from Lucknow. He said that Sanatan faith is immortal and under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India is moving forward with cultural pride and modern development.

Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched Somnath Swabhiman Yatra Uttar Pradesh under 'Somnath Swabhiman Parv' in Lucknow on Sunday. On this occasion, he said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is moving forward with its glorious eternal heritage and modern development. Describing this journey as a symbol of faith, unity and cultural consciousness, he said that today India is again moving towards the peak of its self-respect.

Sanatan Aastha: Symbol of immortal tradition

CM Yogi said that according to the scriptures of India, just as the soul is immortal, similarly Sanatan faith is also immortal. He said that despite centuries of invasions, India's faith never weakened. He told that about 1000 years ago there was a foreign attack on the Somnath temple, in which the temple was damaged. But despite this, the faith of Sanatan Dharma remained firm and is moving ahead with full strength even today.

Somnath Temple Reconstruction: Contribution of Sardar Patel

The Chief Minister said that after independence, the countrymen wished that India should also get cultural freedom. Recalling the efforts of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, he said that he took a pledge to rebuild the Somnath temple and completed it. He also told that President Dr. Rajendra Prasad participated in the consecration of Somnath Temple despite opposition and made it successful.

Cultural Renaissance and Modern India

CM Yogi said that the cultural renaissance started by Sardar Patel and Dr. Rajendra Prasad has reached new heights today under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that this is the time to carry forward India's eternal tradition and cultural pride.

Ayodhya, Kashi and Mahakumbh: new centers of faith

The Chief Minister said that today a grand Ram temple has been constructed in Ayodhya and the slogan of “Jai Shri Ram” is heard in the country and abroad. He also mentioned events like Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Vindhyavasini Temple Corridor and Prayagraj's Kumbh and Maha Kumbh, which show the cultural strength of India.

Continuous expansion of eternal power

CM Yogi said that religious places like Kashi, Ayodhya, Mathura-Vrindavan and Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh are attracting people from across the country and the world. He told that pilgrimages like Mahakal, Kedarnath, Badrinath and Rameshwaram are also major centers of faith and culture of India, which are continuously attracting people towards them.

More than 1000 devotees leave for Somnath

The Chief Minister said that under this yatra, more than 1000 devotees from Uttar Pradesh are leaving for Somnath Dham in Gujarat. These devotees include youth, women, entrepreneurs, students and teachers. All the devotees will perform Abhishek in Somnath by taking water from the shrines of their respective areas. He said that free train facility has been provided by the Railways and other expenses are being borne by the Tourism and Culture Department.

Purpose of the visit: To strengthen faith and unity

CM Yogi said that this yatra not only has religious significance, but it is also a symbol of India's cultural unity and social harmony. Praising the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said that under his leadership the country is continuously progressing and the cultural identity is getting stronger.

On this occasion, many dignitaries including Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Lucknow Mayor Sushma Kharkwal, Minister Dr. Sanjay Nishad, MLA Dr. Neeraj Bora, OP Srivastava, Legislative Council member Pawan Chauhan, Mukesh Sharma, Lal Ji Prasad Nirmal and Additional Chief Secretary Amrit Abhijat were present.
