Sarah Ferguson was pictured earlier this week outside a ski chalet in Austria - the first time she's been pictured for seven months. It is believed the former Duchess of York has been staying at the £2,000-a-night chalet for some time, ordering the same meal over and over again.
A royal source has claimed Fergie "basically never leaves the chalet" as she continues to spend time away from the public eye following the release of the Epstein files. Although appearing in the documents does not indicate any wrongdoing, Fergie's reputation has been impacted, alongside that of her ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. While a friend has urged her to "face the music", it has been revealed the 66-year-old has repeatedly ordered the same meal to her room via room service.
As reported by The Sun, her preferred meal is bresaola ham with mozzarella and chicken breast. According to a source, the only time she was spotted was when she checked into the the pine-clad chalet located near the exclusive Mayrlife health clinic.
They explained: "The only time she was spotted by others was when she checked in. She was on her own and was wearing a hoodie."
They added: "Fergie basically never leaves her chalet, which seems astonishing given the whole area is idyllic and perfect for relaxing walks. She's just choosing to stay indoors instead. It's almost like she's actually been banished to Room 101."
Fergie was recently snapped outside the ski chalet in the Austrian Alps. It sits on Lake Altaussee, surrounded by stunning snow-capped mountains.
As well as being able to order room service, the former Duchess of York also has access to cryotherapy, hydrotherapy and even "nasal reflex zone therapy". There is also an infrared sauna cabin and two swimming pools at the resort.
However, a friend of Fergie has urged her to "face the music". The Epstein Files showed that she stayed in touch with the convicted paedophile after he was sentenced for child sex offences.
The source told Richard Kay at the Daily Mail: "Sarah's still got friends looking out for her and some of them have the money to help her to continue to hide out.
"But she can't do that for ever. This scandal is going to go on for years. Sooner or later she's going to have to face the music."
