Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has announced recruitment for Diploma Trainee, Junior Officer Trainee, and Junior Technician Trainee posts (PGCIL Recruitment 2026). The application process for which is going to start from 20th April. Eligible and interested candidates can apply through official website till 11th May 2026. http://www.powergrid.in/You can fill the online application form. All candidates are advised to read the official notification before applying.
The total number of vacancies is 660. Out of which 630 posts are vacant for Power Grid and 30 posts are vacant for CTUIL. The vacancy is divided into different zones and projects. Candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 300 to fill the form. However SC/ST/PWD and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from fee payment. The cut-off date for age limit is 11th May 2026. While the cut-off date for qualification is 15th July 2026.
Qualification and age limit
- To apply for Diploma Trainee posts, one must have the qualification of 3 year full time regular Diploma in the relevant field. It is mandatory to have 70% marks. B.Tech/BE/ME/M.Tech candidates will not be allowed to apply.
- For Junior Officer Trainee (HR) post, candidates should have 3 year full time regular graduation degree in BBA/BBM/BMS or equivalent qualification with 60% marks. Junior Officer Trainee (F&A) should have CA Inter/CMA Inter qualification.
- For Junior Technician Trainee (Survey) post, candidates should have 2 year ITI to Survey.
- Minimum age limit is 18 years and maximum 27 years. OBC NCL will get relaxation up to 3 years, SC-ST will get 5 years and PWD candidates will get up to 10 years.
selection process
Candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination, computer skill test and trade test. The weightage of written examination will be 100%. A total of 170 multiple choice questions will be asked in this. 120 questions will be to technical or professional knowledge. Whereas 50 questions will be to aptitude. Rest of the skill test and trade test both will be of qualifying nature. After this you will be invited for document verification.
