Minnie Driver got her big break on the silver screen when she appeared in the 1995 film Circle of Friends.
The actress went on to secure roles in a host of Hollywood blockbusters, including Good Will Hunting and Grosse Pointe Blank, but in more recent times she has found considerable success on the small screen.
She had long-running roles in series such as The Riches and Speechless, and in the past few years alone, the actress has featured in major productions like Emily in Paris and Run Away, a Netflix adaptation of one of Harlan Coben's novels.
It was recently revealed that she has yet another big series in the works, as she is set to appear in heist thriller The Day for Paramount.
Her current project on ITV is The Murder Line, a Canadian crime drama television series. Broadcast as The Borderline in Canada, it centres on a small-town police officer who discovers that a childhood friend is connected to a drug smuggling operation headed by crime boss May Ferguson (Minnie). It's another prominent role for Minnie, and one that is likely to be giving her bank balance a healthy boost, reports the Mirror.
While Minnie isn't one to flaunt her wealth, estimates indicate her net worth runs into the millions.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, her fortune is presently estimated to sit at around $14 million, which equates to over £10 million. However, website The Richest believes her net worth could be as high as $20 million, which is close to £15 million.
It is understood that Minnie's fortune stems predominantly from her acting career on television and in cinema, although she has also pursued other endeavours including music.
The London-born star has been creating music since her boarding school years and was part of the Milo Roth Band, which secured a recording contract while she was still in her teens.
Following her success as an actress, she obtained a recording deal in her own right and has released three albums to date - 2004's Everything I've Got in My Pocket, Seastories in 2007 and Ask Me to Dance, which she unveiled 12 years ago. The star also performed the song Learn to Be Lonely for the 2004 film adaptation of much-loved musical The Phantom of the Opera.
Minnie undertakes some voice work as well, lending her vocals to a character in 1998 video game Trespasser.
The actress has had a high-profile romantic history, having been linked to several very famous men.
In 1997 she was briefly connected to John Cusack following their meeting on Grosse Pointe Blank, but later that year she began a relationship with Matt Damon, her co-star from Good Will Hunting. The couple remained together until the following year, when they parted ways.
Minnie later addressed their separation on social media, after a photograph of herself looking upset at the 1998 Oscars resurfaced.
She wrote on Instagram: "Matt had ended our relationship a few weeks before was at the Oscars with his new gf. I was devastated. Wish I could have celebrated more as it was an amazing moment for all of us, and for this wonderful film!"
The actress previously had a relationship with Josh Brolin, with the pair having been engaged but ultimately never tying the knot.
In 2008, she gave birth to a son, yet chose to keep the identity of his father private.
Minnie has since found happiness with filmmaker and screenwriter Addison O'Dea, whom she is believed to have been in a relationship with since 2019.
The Murder Line starts at 10pm on ITV on Saturday, April 18
