Heinrich Klaasen produced a moment of sheer brilliance on the field, pulling off a sensational catch to dismiss the in-form Ayush Mhatre during the SRH vs CSK clash in IPL 2026.
The moment came in the fifth over when Mhatre, who was looking dangerous after a quickfire start, attempted to clear the infield off Nitish Kumar Reddy. However, the shot didn’t come off cleanly, and what followed a second or two later was pure magic. Klaasen sprinted to his left from mid-off, leapt into the air, and plucked the ball one-handed in stunning fashion. Even as he lost balance while landing, he showed exceptional control to vault the ball in his safe pair of hands.
The dismissal proved to be a massive turning point, ending Mhatre’s explosive 30 off just 13 balls. A catch that combined athleticism, awareness, and composure, Klaasen’s effort is undoubtedly one of the standout fielding moments of IPL 2026.
