Synopsis

ANACITY has partnered with Panasonic to develop advanced smart home and community solutions. This collaboration will integrate Panasonic's IoT hardware with ANACITY's digital platform. The aim is to enhance security and living experiences for residents and improve workplace operations. The partnership is set to impact over 750,000 households and significant office spaces globally.

Bengaluru: In a move aimed at accelerating smart community living and security solutions in India’s real estate sector, ANACITY has been selected by Panasonic Corporation Electric Works Company as its preferred partner for co-creating next-generation smart home and community solutions.

The collaboration was formalised at Panasonic’s annual flagship accelerator programme in Tokyo, which ran from November 2025 to March 2026. ANACITY emerged as the highest-rated platform from a global pool of technology participants in the final cohort.

The selection underscores ANACITY’s growing role as a real estate enterprise technology platform across India and the Middle East. Its client base includes leading developers such as DLF, Signature Global, Emaar India, Mahindra Lifespaces, Puravankara, Gera Developments and Birla Estates, alongside commercial asset owners including Blackstone–KRT REIT, Brigade Group and Embassy Group.

This portfolio provides Panasonic with access to large, institutional-grade developments, allowing streamlined deployment through developer networks rather than fragmented stakeholder engagement. The selection process involved multiple rounds of evaluation, including validation of solutions with developers across India.

Commenting on the collaboration, Shajai Jacob, MD & CEO, ANACITY, said, “The collaboration with Panasonic is a strong endorsement of ANACITY’s vision to redefine community living through technology as well as our distribution reach and access with large Grade A developers across India and Middle East. Being chosen from a global pool of innovators reflects the strength of our tech platform, our focus on user experience, and our commitment to building secure and innovative ecosystems. We are reimagining how communities interact with technology – making it more seamless, intuitive, and impactful.”

Otaki Kiyoshi, President, Electric Works Company, Panasonic Corporation “As this program enters its fifth year, we are very pleased that it is gaining recognition both inside and outside the company. We aim to build a co-creation consortium and further integrate three functions: creating new value and solutions, testing hypotheses from a customer perspective, and building a co-creation platform. By combining the proactive challenges of our employees with the power of startups, we will connect these initiatives to social implementation and support the creation of new businesses as a company, so that we can contribute to society.”

As part of the partnership, Panasonic’s home IoT hardware suite—including video door phones, CCTV systems, lobby station monitors and smart locks—will be integrated into ANACITY’s mobile-first platform. The integration will enable real-time visitor visibility, remote access management and seamless control across entry points via mobile devices.

The co-creation model is expected to deliver integrated living experiences across more than 100 enterprise developers, covering over 750,000 households, and enhance workplace operations across 150 million sq ft of office space managed through ANACITY’s platform globally.

Unlike conventional accelerator programmes, the initiative is positioned as a market-facing co-creation engagement, combining Panasonic’s hardware ecosystem with ANACITY’s distribution network and digital interface to build scalable, real-world solutions. The partnership is also expected to expand into adjacent segments such as HVAC systems, environmental sensors, indoor air quality monitoring, and energy management solutions, including solar and EV infrastructure.

The collaboration reflects a strategic alignment between the two companies, with ANACITY acting as the digital backbone connecting residents, tenants, developers and asset managers, while Panasonic provides the underlying physical infrastructure layer.

With a growing presence across India and the Middle East, ANACITY continues to focus on enabling technology-led residential and workplace ecosystems, with this partnership marking a step forward in scaling IoT-led community management solutions.
