New Delhi. Iran has announced to completely open the Strait of Hormuz after 49 days. Iran has said that after the Israel-Lebanon ceasefire, the Strait of Hormuz has been completely opened. Israel-US attacked Iran on 28 February 2026. Since then, the movement of ships through the Strait of Hormuz was disrupted.

Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi said that in view of the ceasefire in Lebanon, the passage of all commercial ships through the Strait of Hormuz has been declared completely open. Araghchi also said that Hormuz has been opened only for the remaining period of the ceasefire. US President Donald has also said that Iran has announced to completely open the Strait of Hormuz for all types of ships. Trump has announced this on his social media platform Truth Social.
America and Israel attacked Iran for the first time on 28 February 2026 on several Iranian targets. From this day onwards, the movement of ships through the Strait of Hormuz was affected. A few days later, Hormuz was completely closed by Iran. In this way, if seen from 28 February 2026 to 17 April 2026, then after 49 days, Hormuz has been completely opened by Iran.
